11:00 Decide to take a macro picture

11:05 Get out camera and start snapping

11:18 Finish snapping

11:30 start processing

11:34 submit

I have never used one of these borders, and I don't always think they work. But, I figured, what the hey. . .

Of course, I enter it fully knowing that it will finish *much* lower than the 7.2 it deserves, just because of the border. The commenters might *say* other things, but it is really the border that will ding the score.

That said, here is my "Bingo" card --

** focus is off
** dof is too shallow
** needs more contrast
** vignette looks bad (btw, NOT added in PP -- result of having a lens reversed)
** too much NeatImage
** "Oh my freakin' gosh, this is the most awesome entry EVAH! I am so glad you entered it. My life is now complete."

/removes tongue from cheek -

shot with a 50 reversed on a 18-55 with 3 "magnifying" lens thingys on it. adjusted levels, saturation, cropped, bordered, noise reduction (which i prolly should have done sooner, i think i've got a white line between teh picture and border) submitted

estimated score -- 4.2

"Oh my freakin' gosh, this is the most awesome entry EVAH! I am so glad you entered it. My life is now complete."

Is this still in voting because I would give it like a 27 if I could it is so tubular and gnarly at the same time and totally completes my world.

:)

MAX!

LOL. You're not much of a procrastinator, though. I've lost track of how many entries I've shot at 11:45. :)

LOL!!!! Oh my dear... laughed so hard the cat woke up and gave me one of those "what IS your problem?" looks. Actually a pretty cool abstract.

in this case you are close enough...but almost to close...there is no detail left of what you are taking a picture of...if it weren't for your title I'd have no clue and your focal points are very scattered

Love the perspective and the colors. Great "outside the box" thinking. Not voting.
