Came home and there was a bee in the driveway! I almost dropped the camera trying to get his picture before he took off. The sun was going down and it's very cold here -that saved me. I'm sure he is the LAST bee of the season.

I deliberately avoided the token bee shot but you have done it well here. Great clarity, angle and use of DOF. The background tone adds to the composition nicely. (Not voting)

Like the color and closeup; maybe a smidge more DOF ... just think I'd like to see more detail in the near wing.

It is amazing just how shallow a DOF cameras will do. Unfortunately, the rear of the bee and near wing (leading edges of western eye scan of the image) are OOF.
