Thanks for posting the unedited version. I really like seeing the before/after shots. Excellent job with the editing. So much more detail that you managed to pull out of the original pic. Good job. |

absolutely stunning shot .. i love your title .. with the power lines and the perspective the amazing snow scene it makes me think of a thriller of some kind where you have no idea what will happen next .. possibly down the hill out'v sight something is lurking for the unwary skier/photographer ... a tripod that doubles as a firearm, you know like james bond 007 would have, might come in handy for your norwegian adventures .. :) |

This looks very close to some of my favorite skiing grounds here in Vermont. As I look at your photo, I'm constantly looking for lines I could ski. I love your processing on the shot, and I have seen how weather like this makes everything monochrome. Well done and very deserving of your ribbon. |

Combining three exposures worked really well with this shot. I don't know if you could have brought out the details in the snow (ground left bottom) as well as you did with only one exposure. I have fav'ed this photograph for several reason. 1) It look very natural and you didn't go overboard with the editing. 2) You did a great job in picking the location and point of view. 3) I'm not just looking at power lines, I'm enjoying a wonderful landscape image with very nice detail. 4) I can feel the temperature in the photo and wish I was enjoying the snow.
To sum it up you did what needed to be done to make this work. You did a great job from picking a location, determining to use three exposures, and the out come was great.
Great job
