Love the high key around the face, it really forces you into those eyes which are mesmerizing all by themselves. |

Great shot, the blown highlights may not be to everybody's taste, but it definitely deserved a higher score. I love the character of the shot, and the expression is mesmerising. Wonderful eyes. |

This is a beautiful shot. I love the high exposure and soft focus. The eyes look awsome. Very nice post-editing. It's really a shame that it did not score higher. |

Glad to see some appreciation for this style, as, sadly, I thought it would struggle ... judging from my previous experience in the portrait challenge.
I echo the sentiments of the previous 3 commenters..great work, well done. |

Scores like this make me want to boycott this site. This is an unbelievable photo of a beautiful face. Maybe it's not everyone's style, but scores like that just confirms that left to their own devices, people are stupid.
This is beautiful.
**edited later once I wasn't so peeved: ok, so people may not be stupid so much, but I get tired of all the "inside the box" voting.

I cannot believe work like this can go so un-noticed by so many voters. I understand art is subjective, but it seems so many of the voters only see the technical aspects in photography. This is a modern style with the exposure so exaggerated it is clearly intentional. I really hoped this one would do better in the challenge.

I like the blown out look- but it's almost too much. The photo is great, and like I said, the look is there, but it might need to be toned down a little bit |

This is true artistry. Your model has beautiful features that your technique has really made the most of. The colored roses (I think they're roses) are just the right touch, not distracting from her face at all, but rather enhancing the overall beauty of the portrait. It wouldn't be the same without them or if they were in black&white. I like it a lot. |

Great Image... What multiple filters were executed to cast the effect? |

I didn't like this picture when I first saw it. But when I went back to it and studied it some more it kinda grew on me. The processing which I found to be overwhelming at first now seems to make sense, emphasizing the hypnotic eyes of the model. Good job, I'm changing my 5 to a 7 |

Contrast appears a bit harsh and lighting overexposed. Not sure if it works for this photo. Also, I'm not sure if the shadowy grain on the right half of the face works as traditional portraits appear to be soft and flattering. Image appears soft overall with no definite sharpness other than the eyes, which are still not as sharp as I'd like them to be. I believe the flowers should've been sharper for this submission as coloring them still doesn't take my attention and focus away from the model's eyes. |

Very pretty photo. I like your use of lighting and contrast to create an etherial effect that emphasizes the title. It might have been nice to see her eyes in a color tone that compliments the flowers?...... 7 |

You have some blown out highlights... JK :) Great effect and well done, I love the contrast between the eyes and white face. Maybe use USM on the flowers only? |

You should receive a special award for bravery..Combining partial desat with a high key portrait..both unpopular techniques on this site.
Since it`s a Partial desat challenge..hopefully voters won`t be too unkind to you.
I love both techniques and really like your portrait in high key..my only criticism is that I would like to have seen it a bit sharper with less softening but it is very 60`s in style and something I would like to see more of on this site.
Well done |

Beautiful portrait! I like high-key used a lot. I think I may have tried to keep a little more definition around the nose, but I am not familiar with doing this at all, so it may not be possible. The eyes are perfectly focused. |

what happened to her nose. The highlights are completely blown out. Contrast is way too high. The flowers are more distracting than complimentary. sorry. |

A little to overexposed I think. I can see why you made the choice (I think) but I think you have gone a little too far...
Still a good image. |

What an absolutely stunning model, just stunning. Great photo, love the harsh lighting and the more subtle level of colour rather than something too bright. 10 |
