Neat image.... I think it really is a matchbook.. Looks almost too plastic for that though.. And the bokeh effect is stellar.. Nice work..
Girl Friend got this one... That's a hairbrush.. (I just use my hands... *Shrug).. |

I've seen colored pin heads that look like the solid objects. If so, the blurred reflection effect fading into blue is clever and effective. |

They do look a bit like matches but that would be too obvious. The bristles of a brush? |

I like the colors, i like the composition, the image is quite dynamic. At first sight seems to be some jet fighters... |

great use of DOF - amazing how much a macro of a hairbrush is similar to matches |

Whoa, if those are the smoke thingees that make the planes emit colored smoke at air shows, then I've got it right. (Yeah, sure) If not, it's just a fantastic photograph of something way out there. |

Hairbrush? Great DoF and I like the purple where the red and blue meet. Personally I would rotate the image 90 degrees to the left |

I think you're losing impact by having your explosion of color originate from the top left. I think this shot would have had more power in a portrait layout or if you had flipped it horizontally in the landscape layout. I really like the DOF, but it hurts my neck to look at.
...and my guess, brush! |
