 This nest was found by my son at Phillip Island, Victoria, Australia this past October.

It's one of the most precious items in my home - I ADORE it.

It astonishes me that a creature with no hands makes something this stunning.

I'm sure you all guessed what it was - that's fine - I just wanted to share it with you

At first I thought this was a birds nest. It may well be. But the depth of field looks not quite rite. So I'm thinking you shot through a bundle of brush. The main subject being some kind of seeding plant. I'm not sure of the name, but it looks like a feather. Either way on my guess, a fantastic shot! Your use of depth of field is excellent. Tones and exposures bang on. Very well done!

Looks like a bird's nest, maybe for a hummingbird. I like the use of selective depth of field to hold attention to the detailed central part.
