Update during voting:
I just got home from vacation and was able to see this shot on my calibrated large monitor at home and have to agree that it is a bit over-saturated. I edited this month's challenge entries while away on my 13" laptop and I guess I learned a lesson to keep laptop edits toned down a bit. I did quite a bit of filter work on this and pushed it a bit to far. Too bad as it is a great scene and should have made a great finish for 2009 FSM.

Very cool area to photograph, and I'm curious to see where this was taken after the challenge. Maybe bring up the brightness in the rock in the bottom right and the forest top left, but that's it. The colors on this are really nice.

There is a lot going on here, however it was composed nicely. The balance is almost perfect. However for me it just does not pop enough and there only appears to be a very narrow focal plane which distracts from the image as a whole. The colours might be pushed a bit as well as the depth of the clouds. Overall it is nice just not quite there yet for me.
