Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: Sandgate, Brisbane
Date: Jun 19, 2004
Aperture: f18
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/80 sec
Galleries: Abstract, Architecture
Date Uploaded: Jun 19, 2004

Taken at Sandgate early in the day. The posts are this colour - really.
Post processing includes some curves and levels adjustment with sharpening and cropping some of the top out. The blue posts and their shadows were selected as a new layer and the edges cleaned up. The background layer was desaturated using channel mixer with extreme contrast settings.

Maybe A bit more saturation would make it a better photo.

Nice contrast and great focus. Composition leaves a little to be desired. Personally, I would've taken this shot 2 or 3 steps to the left to "seperate" the posts a little. I think this would work great as b&w but the blue feels out of place here.

nice composition. looks slightly crooked, but not a big problem. sky is very nice. ground on left side looks a little oversharpened.

It's all about personal opinion... but I gave higher scores to those photos that appeared to be more difficult to obtain their "selections". You captured the "challenge"... but it the straight lines were just too easy.

this is my only 10 for this challenge
I keep looking at it to give constructive advice.... but there is nothing I would change
after one last look before I send this...
if you burnt the sky and it is not natural.... maybe slightly darker top right and lighter at the left above the horrizon but only a 10 deg change in the fade line if that.... sky just seems slighly out of balance?
