Melati. Levels layer, selective colour layer then two background copy layers with redynamix applied to them, one in eye catching mode at 49% opacity, the other in ultra contrast mode at 28% opacity, selectively sharpened the eyes with usm at 54% 9.8, cropped, resized, saved for web.

The Sumatran tigers at Perth Zoo are by far my favourite photographic subject and are the subjects of my top 3 scores. This will not make it even close to my top 5 because my recent style has been to tank. And it's frigging well crushing me! Where the hell did my mojo go? If you find it, please send it back to me, I'm begging you!

GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB

Um, like art roflmao, I agree that you still have mojo.

Maybe the slight lack of coloration had something to do with it, or maybe there is still a problem with zoo animals amongst the voters. Who knows why scores are the way they are these days.

there's nothing wrong with this image, and we both know it. Sharp, crisp, well positioned in the frame, highlights in the correct spots, and yeah, maybe not enough 'color' in the fur to attract the folks looking for saturation.

Good luck in your next entry. You know you're doing just fine. So do I.

Hey, I thought you were banned! ;-) Lots o' folks guessed you so you obviously nailed your sig. My guess on scoring is that it feels slightly desat'd when I think most tiger shots are injected with bright orange dye. ;-) You still have mojo, dude.

You have found my weakness. Where did you take this picture, and when is the best time for me to steal him/her?

But seriously, this was captured at pretty much what I would assume to be the perfect moment. The depth-of-field, as always, really brings out the important part of the picture; the eyes. 8)

This is such a good photo, but it needed a bit more punch, a bit more clarity.
I love the subject, but have the feeling that it is a bit flat.

I love the intensity and awareness of this beautiful Tiger's stare. In this face is the emotion of the wild primeval predator. Eloquent capture.

Nice zoo image of a great tiger. Warm season in January means southern hemisphere and a person who has posted several great tiger images. This must be Delta_6 from Perth, Australia. Fine photo!
