[Jan. 17th, 2010 09:23:26 PM]

I took this while moving by in a car so it's strictly motion blur.
So - It is January and I am through with the holidays! Lighting one's home for the season is an excellent way to get into the spirit (I do it!) but now it's time to stop using all this electricity and turn the lights off. This is the time of year when so many are hoping for peace and giving to charities, but I think too many forget the environment. I guess I was wishing this display were broken. In my mind this entry was on topic, in a way.. I liked the picture.. and I was trying to send a message in a humorous way. To those who feel it does not meet the challenge description, that's okay. I understand.

Nice picture!
I like the balance between the vibrant colors and the dark house with the blurred naked trees. Looks like some fight between good and evil...
Considering the date of the picture and the title, i think that any DNMC thoughts were unfair. This image deserved a better place on the challenge, definitely.
I would just crop a little on the right to put the house more to the rule of thirds, but no big deal.
Congrats!

Hmmmm. Thanks for the notes. I understand why this didn't score highly (the literal mind of the average DPC voter), but it's still a well-composed, thoughtful shot. Thanks for sharing.

This is SO exciting. I was wandering around the galleries and just happened on it. What a nice reward for a bit of wandering.

It's a true piece of art.

It's a very nice photo, I like it, but I can't see what it has to do with 'things that no longer work'.

Fun motion blur in an abstract way, but how does this connect to the challenge?

Interesting... DNMC, but an interesting composition, and it works in a very good abstract.
