I shot this image with 2 300W studio lighs, one with a snoot with a blue gel and one with a barndoor with a red gel.
These are a lighting fixture inside a friends house. the only editing i did was a crop, levels and saturation which was done to the whole image.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

Not a bad shot, the composition is there with a good try at leading lines. However the red/blue light is dangerously close to the frame, I agree with Nadine in terms of the balance of the lights.

Close down the f-stop, then open up the shutter. Get as much dof as you can, unless you are going for a bokeh shot. Scene is a little static, only the colour draws the eye to the right hand light.

FWIW, if this is doable and you feel like playing around and have a tripod, try this: return to this location with your red/blue lights. Stop down as much as you can, leave the shutter open long enough (bulb setting, possibly) and relocate the lights so they are underneath all three lights in their turn. That way you should get all 3 lights in focus with similar lighting on them.

Hope this helps, keep up the good work!

Feel free to PM me with any questions,

Susan

Now this is nothing more than personal taste: did you try moving a bit more to the right? I.m.o. this would have created more balance in the photograph as the space between the 3 lights would have been divided more equally.
