Funny you should mention that Cole, I drove by there last month to get a shot of it and I noticed that. don't know how and why he'd bother with the condition it was in. This house on the other hand is on it's last legs, every time I go North and I pass it and it's worse. Hopefully I can get one more of it before its gone.
Thanks for the comment. |

Don't get too close, my own favorite leaning house fell down recently. |

Love the distortion. It really fits against that mean looking sky. |

I love old structures like this, and it is so good to capture them before they are gone forever. Well done. Like the vignette. The winter setting adds to the melancholy feel. |

I'd love to see this in B&W with some harsher contrast and/or image grain.....6.....persoanl taste, of course. |

Looks like it won't last much longer...such a shame, but this makes for a very interesting picture...I like pictures that have an old abandoned feel to them |

The house needs a little more crispness to have more impact. 6 |

That is definitely one warped and wonky abandoned house. Colors are good and composition while straight on makes this house interesting because it shows off the weird ways the house leans and the cloud cover seems to extend out from behind it. While a good shot - it just lacks something at would give this a little more umph; something that would make the eye linger that much longer. What that would be ....hmmm, one suggestion but definately not the only one is to create a mood or play up a mood. The title is abandoned, well the house is obvious but mood could be emphasized by footsteps in the snow that are facing away from the house. Or you could go the total opposite at go for a humor angle: place a "For Sale: Cheap" sign in front. Just one additional detail can add spice/mood to a photo composition. If you don't want the 'set-up' scene but want something natural then it might be harder for Mother Nature would have to provide something like say some dark and brooding clouds - it would give a dark and moody feeling to the shot. |

i like the isolation of the building. i get a sense of the stories contained within, the feet that traveled up the stairs, the windows open on a summer day. |

Man this is a scary pic of decay and how things deteriorate. Would have done very well in urban decay challenge this year. lacks a bit of sharpness in the trees around it. still a very good pic in my books 7 |

Very neat, that won't be around for too much longer. Excellent shot, great exposure, and the composition (although centered, which I usually do not love) looks really good. Nice shot. |

What a great shot of a rickety old building! You've captured this really well, it looks like it's all twisted and bending in all sorts of different directions.
I like the clouds too, they all seem to run towards toe building, it gives me the feeling as if the building is actually alive and is going to get up any second and walk away! |

Talk about foundation problems! The angle is very effective here. The house feels like an optical illusion -- or something out of an Escher image. |

Good perspective and composition to put it in the middle. A great sky. I think this would score a lot higher with some dramatic processing....a bit of HDR maybe to bring out those clouds in the sky, some saturation and contrast. |
