nice work to focus on the eye - the background is a bit distracting with the angled lines for the cage |

Nice portrait of bald eagle. Colours a bit flat but nice eye lit there. The pattrens in the back implies fence of some sorts breaking the natural feel of this pic to an extent - even if it was not a fence. |

"There is an eagle in me that wants to soar, and there is a hippopotamus in me that wants to wallow in the mud". (poem by Carl Sandburg - not sure why this brought that to mind but it did, so...) |

Nice shot, but the tell-tale diamonds give away the fact this bird is in captivity. The eyes don't seem quite as sharp as I would like. |

Great close-up on this eagle where the details are nice and sharp. The horizontal crop was a good choice for it subtly matches up and complements the leading lines of the side portrait of this majestic bird's head. Wish the bokeh was a little more stronger in the backdrop such that I then could not see the chain link cross patterns. However, oddly enough, the criss-cross pattern of the chain link is a repeated pattern that you can see in the layering of the brown feathers on the eagle. |

Nice classic portrait of an eagle. A bit flat, could use some contrast maybe. |
