| Good eyes on observing the wing. However, it seems like it is a bit flat. The title draws my attention to the torn edge but when I sit back and observe the photo as a whole it loses it potency for me. |

| I think this shot lacks a lot of contrast. Although you were able to get close to the moth the positioning and the colors of this image lack detail and interest. Good luck though. |

| overexposed...central composition is quite bland...perhaps the use of some shading for lighting would have been a good idea (piece of card)??? |

| The harsh lighting/shadow distracts from the subject....it is unfortunate you can only see a small part of the color on the wing |

i gave you a low score (4), why?
'cause the subject is too centered, and the contrasts are too net here so i can't see details in the lower part of this butterfly.
Maybe ambient light was too hard, i know that take photograph of butterflies isn't so easy, but at least the composition could be better, i do not know your macro skills, so take my words "as are", is only my vision of this shot. |
