| This might have been more interesting with a slightly edgier process, perhaps in BW with a lot of contrast. As it is, I feel it's somewhat dull. |

| This shouldn't really be as interesting as what it is but, the fact is, it is interesting and more than anything, it's simplicity and simply it's color and composition is what makes it interesting. Likely not doing well in this challenge but, it should be given credit in other awards. :) |

Interesting shapes and reflections, but somehow it's not really grabbing my attention much. Not quite sure.
Ok, now I'm sure after looking at the image details. At a 40k file size, there is some severe JPEG compression going on here, and I think that is what is killing all the clarity and pop in this image. Compression kills detail. Always use the least compression you can get away with and still come in under challenge limits. |

| Simple and very strong minimalistic in it's presentation of the subject. The fading of the light/color from a light violet/blue to very dark blue almost black happens as the eye travels from the top to the bottom of the composition. The surface of the water has wavey ripples that makes the transitional fade choppy and rough. The eye bumps along. Had the waters been calm and the water's without surface texture that slow fade would have been smoother. Oddly, I feel that because of this 'texture' the photo now has a sense of touch and therefore another dimension that adds visual appeal to those who take a moment to stop and look. Quite an opposite contrast of another photo I remember very similar to this where the surface was more like glass. And I JUST saw this - LOOK! Turn the composition on its side to a horizontal. The curved branch and the it's reflection makes an almost complete heart shape! Oooohhh, if you can you have GOT to go back and get a sunset shot where there is reds & golds reflected in the water - Love Reflected in Nature is what I see. Revelation over now going back to the shot as it is - clean and elegant in showcasing the 'natural' element - bumping up in score. |

| A simple image that is well executed and therefore works exceptionally well...........maybe the crop is a little too close to the upper part of the branch. The colour tones through the image are great. |

| I like the rippled reflections. A bit too dark for my tastes and the composition seems awkward, a bit too close of a crop at top and maybe too much empty space at the bottom. |

| Emotional shot for me. Sad, empty, lost and more. The reflection and the branch are reaching..reaching for what? Help? Just beautifully shot and composed. I think its a compliment to envoke reaction with our images and you've done that here. This is a good one!!! |
