The Image: I took this at the Sorrento Back beach while we were on holidays there. It's the same stretch of beach as my famous Lizard Head Rock :) It was evening and the patterns in the sky were expansive.

Edit:
b and w with a tint
duplicate layer and multiply...this created the nice dark sky
mask off areas that I wanted to remain
lighter
Some dodge and burning
Some sharpening
Pretty simple stuff

The Prediction: Well, I can't predict now as we are in the voting, but I am loving my score. I can't believe where this is at...7.43XX. It has been my ambition to win a ribbon in a Free Study and this might just do it

The colour version looks good, and my daughter said I should enter that, but this one is more striking. I had several good images this month, and so it was a hard choice. Glad I selected this one.

That is an excellent photo indeed, but i do like the colour one as well.
We use to frequent Sorrento beach all the time as kids, Western Australia does have the best beaches in the world, and thats not being biased, well maybe a little.
