You enter this tunnel on the 41st floor of Nagoya's highest building (Midland Square) to get to the ticket machines for the 'Sky Walk', a rather large observation terrace.
The light is very dim except for a few unpredictable moments when the color changes to rainbow color.
Previously I've taken pictures here with a fisheye lens, which have turned out well, too, except for lack of sharpness due to inappropriate camera settings.
The wide angle lens, I used here, is new and somehow I expected it to behave like the fisheye, so I tilted the camera to get an interesting play of the lines, but after all, it's just a stiff wide angle lens, which doesn't lend itself so much to "play". And of course I need to get used to it...
Among the possible candidates for this entry, I chose the least dim shot and one without cut off lamps.
processing was:
ORF to JPG in Oly master
some minor crop
then some serious denoising
sharpen and more noise filter

An interesting location but maybe get lower and center the composition with a wide-angle. |

Really nice spacey looking tunnel and lights with great perspective. I like that you tilted the image slightly so increasing that feeling. 9 |

Now if I would have access to such a tunnel, I wouldn't hesitate either.
The slight tilt works well. |

Nice find, love the geometrical lines and patterns. I'm not too keen on the tilt though. 7 |

Great shot. I like that you tilted the floor a bit. Gives it a bit of a vertigo feeling. |

Very nice find. It would have been much better to put something of interest to focus on down the tunnel, even a person walking towards or away from the camera. Throw the camera on a mini pod and take a picture of yourself even! |
