 A snake at the zoo. Shot with the czmera pressed on the glass to steady it. Changed to grayscale, contrast and levels adjustments, resized and USM in PSE2.

Fantastic close up and great angle. I have to wonder, though I have not seen the original, if a colour version may have been better (or maybe you interpreded the challenge as needing b&W, which is fair enough)

I dont' know about using this photo for a newspaper- i don't necessarily see how it relates to this challege. That aside- great photo! Very ferocious, and I like the depth of field. A little grainy, but ok. Good job!
