 Taken at the 2004 Canton Liberty Festival fireworks show.

I didn't shoot anything specifically for this challenge, so I'm entering this pic that I took this week as an homage to my very first challenge entry here on DPC, which I took one year ago. The same guys in my first challenge entry (Wolverine Fireworks) put on the show again this year.

To those that may think I cropped this "wrong" by leaving the skyline/reflection in, well, I disagree. I feel this is an important part of the context of the fireworks and shows their size, unlike a "burst on a black background" shot that looks like it could just be a sparkler... =]

I agree with Nazgul. This would never be published in a newspaper. Firework pictures have to be extra good to make it to the newspapers. You have to have people in them or show some buldings at least.

Beautiful fireworks. I'd tighten the the crop so that the burst fill the frame completely. It would do two things: one, eliminate all the dead space that really does nothing for the photo and two, make the short crop on the top seem more appropriate.
