 I live right down the street from where our small town holds their annual festival. I was sitting in the house Saturday when my wife told me she heard the garden tractor pulls. So, I grabbed my backpack and walked down to the pulls and took a few shots. Unfortunately, I got there just has the super-modified (or whatever they call them) garden tractors got done. Those things were pretty cool looking.

Cropped, levels, contrast, saturation, desaturated, resized, USM, added 3% noise.

Hmm, Mermaid Festival...don't see this in that photo. I'd expect at least a tail sticking out somewhere.

Your title got me wondering if there was such a thing as the Mermaid Festival garden tractor pull, sure enough there is. I would have liked to have seen just a bit more of what was being towed.

Nice! Lost a little detail in the black areas though. Composition is ok. I would've taken it at a lower angle.

Pretty good photo, Too cropped. (I'd like to see how much exactly that tractor is pulling.) Might I also suggest a polarizing filter? There is some reflection covering the man's face which would be nice if it wasn't there. Good job.

well that sure is something you don't see everyday...at least not in my town. those are some serious wheels on that.....lawn tractor.
