These shots are sobering whenever I see them. I saw similar in Arlington last summer and the number of crosses is staggering.

I visited one of the American cemetaries in France. They're amazing places, both in how beautifully they're maintained as this shot shows, and staggering in just how many people are buried there.

Flanders fields... nice crop and I like the rhythm created by the repetition. Also like the trees and sky in the background, provide a bit of a contrast and breathing space.
