Never too late to comment great work such as this. I just saw it on National Geographic, congratulations! What's amazing to me about this picture is the feeling of sound. I can almost hear the noise from this massive takeoff. |

I guess there is one treacherous duck scared others purposely because your food is limited. Now I know why don't bring too much food if I want to capture a great shot like this. Congratulations!! |

This didn't come up in the partial voting I did. It's just wonderful. So well seen. I love the "splashes" of green and blue with white bands adjacent to them. Also the fans of feathers in the extended wings. Congratulations on a top 10 finish. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: What an astonishing sight! Certainly not something you see every day - at least I don't! I like how there appears to be layer after layer of ducks and our proximity as suggested by the POV places us right amongst them. I'd really like to know where you were and with what lens when you shot this.
Critical stuff: Nothing really
Overall: Very effective image - you have created a sense of immersion in the scene for the viewer. |

One of the more interesting duck shots I've seen in a challenge. In spite of all the busyness of the scene, my eye is drawn to the duck at the lower right third. Nice going. |

ahh its a duck attack. I have no idea how you found so many ducks but good work. I just wish all the closer ducks were in focus though. |

I don't know how you did it, and it's all 90 % male ducks... but it looks fabulous. 9! |
