You have captured a nice amount of detail here and the photo itself has potential. I think it would have helped you to have cropped in on the photo more on the left side and moved the rose out of the center of the frame.
The lighting here is also an issue. It appears you had some backlighting making some good points of light, but the center of the rose seems lost in darkness and needs more light.
Keep up with the roses...they sure do make nice models, they don't move and they don't argue with you...lol...anyhow just watch out for the lighting and keep on shooting.

Great lighting on a perfect specimic. It would work much better if it were not dead centered.

Like the backlightning of the flower and the image is great. dont know though how extraordinary this is or how it expresses the concept. |

It's a good picture of a rose. However, there is nothing that sets this image apart from other pictures of roses. |

nice color and clarity. I might have offset the flower to either side a little more so its noticable or dead center. nice shot tho |
