Not an original sort of subject for me but the combination of foreground and background making a complete frame around the bird appeals to me, and the way the trees and branches have a sort of mirror opposite pattern going. The Chickadee appears to be talking to someone just out of the image and he could easily make space for a branchmate, so that's where the title came from ;-)
PP - tonemapped in qtpfsgui (pregamma 0.697, mantiuk method, contrast mapping 0.1, saturation factor 1.029, detail factor 1)) erased all but bird and foreground branches and merged at 30% transparency, cropped, levels, white balance, dodged bird a bit, cloned out one small twig right behind the bird, increased saturation and contrast, resized, sharpened, blurred jaggies, added border. |

i love this photo for the simplicity and fragility it has! i almost like it everything for everything, like composition, color tonality, the bird pops out so nice, the way branches are spread... |
