I was aiming for something like that but it came out better than I hoped. I really enjoy taking photos of horses where one horse frames another and have taken some photos before like that, see this one for example:

Nice capture. Great subject, and the contrast of the mane against the coat, and both against the snow is lovely. Plus you got the subject looking at you. I find the "gap" on the left side a bit distracting particularly as the brightest area of snow is there drawing my eye to it. Perhaps cropping more off that side or darkening that area might have prevented that. Still, it gets a 7.

Wonderful! Perfect timing, fantastic angle. I love those matted balls of snow, even under the jaw. It's a wonder they can stay warm.
