 I'd have preferred something with people but I haven't found any good places to comfortably shoot people here yet, so I went with something in the blur category. This is an ornamental grass-like bush thingie that grows next to where I park the clunker Jeep my brother has loaned me until my car gets here (which I just found out is delayed - the ship it is on has suffered some form of mechanical difficulty). To me, this has a peaceful sense to it - calming in a way. Your mileage may vary. :-)

1/4 second, 1/3 stop underexposed, aperture priority. Camera moved vertically during exposure.

Edit included a Lightroom preset which increased contrast and changed the color hue a bit, and a crop to isolate just the left half of the photo.

UPDATE - just got a phone call that my car is in LA! Woo hoo!

7 - Nice movement/texture abstract, I like the colors, but wonder about more saturation or hue - but that's just personal preference - not my call. A more refined crop, especially bottom left, to eliminate distractions, make it even better in my opinion.

Firstly, your border is overstated. Restraint or nothing would have been more effective. But otherwise a lovely and soft image, restrained and delicate, an abstraction that for some reason *does* work as fine art in my opinion, unlike so many others presented. The colours are lovely, the composition perfect; I am moved by the movement of the photograph. I see you in there. Thank you.

Would I hang this on my wall. Perhaps, I like the idea. I judge on what I would hang in my apartment. However, I would like to see this smaller and in an "large" frame. Just like "good" art should be. I give you a positive 6
