from the critique club:
You have captured superb coloration. Its' only minor flaw is the slight yellow cast which required only a slight tweak. The idea is creative and very well presented. The reflective expression wins hands up. Also, the composition is very strong and the model a sweetheart. Now let us consider if we can improve on this idea.
The first item to discuss is the dual focus points. It seems to me that the reflection in the image is the winner. Not enough time spent in seeking the best angle of the profile, I even see a part of her cheeks at the lip juncture. Since this idea is so effective, I would even advise its redo. Our hindsight here is 20-20. Consider changing the color of the garment to a lighter tone. This would reduce the sharp focus of the profile and shed some reflective light on the mirrored figure. After such alteration you may want a lighter background. To avoid critical color correction it may even be better to allow some hair to frame the left of the frame. You will still have a dual focus but the viewers will be more hard pressed to find minor faults. Whenever, you shoot people I always suggest to do a white balance shot. This helps keep the tones honest.
Again, you did a very good job and with a minor tweak to rid the slight yellow tinge, it remains an impressive image and one worthy of your port. dan

Lighting: The light is even, but there seems to be a color cast. A catchlight would have helped I think.
Pose: Not very expressive.
Background: the black works.

Interesting idea, good job controlling stray reflections or glare.

Beautiful...maybe a bit more light or some dodging around her shirt/face in the mirror? Wonderful job. :o)

A moody shot! The skin tones are nice but perhaps a little deep. I'd prefer to see a little more neck on the "me" on the left--the crop just seems a little tight.

Good idea, the lighting seems off, not sure whether you intended the yellowish cast to be there.

this is a very good shot, a novel and interesting approach to the challenge, however there are some fairly large areas that are smooth and texture-less that keep grabbing my attention; also a blotchy patch on her nose in the reflection, a few minor flaws in an otherwise pleasing photo

Lighting here is great, and the use of the mirror is perfect. The skin looks a little over processed (too perfect) but perhaps you are just lucky, and in that case, I apologize.

This shot is simply precious! I love how you managed to get two different poses (profile and full on) into the same portrait shot! I'm not sure I like the yellowish cast though. And while your lighting is spot on for depth, a touch of catch light in her eye would take this shot one step beyond!

I don't think i'd want a pose like that as a studio portrait.

I like the composition and pensive look of the subject, but her skin and hair tones appear to orange/red on my monitor.

I don't know why, but when looking at this picture I focus imidiatly on the nose..
Model has a beautifull face (mirror image) but would have been better shown from a different angle imho

Good! More light on the reflection's cheek would enhance in my view.

i like the idea, but I'm not sure where the main focus of the photo should be ... the eye on the left, or the eyes on the right, which appear half closed because of the angle. Also, seems cropped a little tight on the left. Nice depth of field and lighting seems good.

A decent attempt
i like the way that you can't tell wether it's a mirror or two people
good luck

i like the idea, the lighting, and the "far way" look. You keep guessing what you're thinking about (a guy no doubt?)

Nice, unique pose, composition. Would only like the far lower left chin cropped wider or tighter. Just looks like it ends a little funny there cutting off the neck/chin area. Your lighting is very nice and so is the pose. Good entry.8~
