A nice shot but seems a bit tilted to the right, not sure why. Maybe if you had come at her more head on instead of from the angle you did? I like the backdrop, nice contrast to her white shirt and jeans but the lighting seems a bit dull overall. Too muted, leaving the shot looking dull overall. A 5 |

Lighting: Low light, low contrast. More light is needed, as well as a reflector or something to get rid of the shadows making bags under her eyes.
Pose: Very nice pose.
Background: Works well. |

Lighting on the subject's face needed, but just enough to keep the blouse from being the major impact in this image. |

I like this as a candid shot. For "portrait" (especially if "studio") I think it would be stronger if cropped to just a head nad shoulders shot, with her lips at about the lower-right 1/3-line intersection. |

Nicely posed/composed. Lighting is a tad bit flat (or maybe your levels). Could definatly benefit from catchlight in her eyes. Nice casual feel here. Are you getting negative feed back about the studio part of the challenge discription?

Nicely composed; would like a crop from the top to bring her into the frame more. Perhaps a levels adjustment or some slight dodging to highlight her a bit more? She seems a tad dark on my monitor. :o) |

A nice expressive portrait. She looks a bit too sad, perhaps, while it seems you were going for wistful. I'm one of those who thinks of "studio" as an inside place--so it's not quite perfect for the challenge, in my opinion. |

good potential but really looks underexposed by about a stop or so |

I like: the pose, background, face expression and the model.
Don't like: lighting,it is kind of even but not intense enough.

seems a bit dark toward the top of the pic, maybe you could have cropped off about half of the space above her head |

Very emotional in unusual light. Looks like model has been crying to me. |

Nice, but the lack of lighting is holding this photo back. |

I like having a story behind the photo, even if I don't know what it is =). I think the lighting could be a bit better, but it does give it that forbodding/sad mood. |

Her face isn't very well lit, which is what you want to draw attention to ... and her pose seems a bit awkward. Pretty girl. |

Beautiful and captivating model, I like her pose. I do wish the lighting was better so there was more seperation between her and the background wall. I feel the wall to her right, picture left is too dark. |

A little more lighting on the subject would have made this a top shot.

It's not 100% (don't ask me what's missing) but I like it. (7) |

Her makeup looks shiny and unnatural when compared to the casual outfit and setting. |

Really nice capture
I like the crop and the fact that there has been some thought behind the shot
Good luck |

Nice pose. Something about the lighting is not quite right...a little bit of levels adjustment would make it a lot better. I tried it on this photo...try moving the black levels slider to 200 and the gray slider to 1.15 |

I think less stone and an over all tighter crop would of improved this. I like her pose but would of liked more light on her nice face. |

I like the wall with the big uneven bricks, but the pose is very cliche and therefore looks artificial |

A tighter crop? It feels out of balance with all that stone. The colors are so nice, as is the pose and the sad expression, I think it would be stunning with a much tighter crop. |
