 Yes, I know, I know, it's a flower, which means this isn't going to do very well :-P
But I like this photo, so I am going to submit it anyways.

During Challenge:
I have gotten some comments in regards to the orange challenge. The reason I didn't submit this there was because it was taken about a week before the challenge was announced. I considered trying to recreate the photo, but decided I didn't want to submit a flower. In the end, I am glad with that decision, because my Orange entry scored significantly better than this image currently is

Just a whisper away from unfurling its petals. Like the colors. Might crop it a bit tighter on the left ... maybe.

A bit soft. I do have to admit after seeing this up close I can now tell that it's really a flower. This object in the 'Orange' challenge looked more like a stick with orange paper on it.

You would have to be happy with this shot. Can't recall seeing something similar in the Orange challenge. If you didn't enter you should have thrown this one in as it's lovely!
