The first thing that I see when I look at this picture is 1/3 of the image really not occupying very much. There is a lot of weighting on the right side and it makes the image look lopsided. It is a very pretty sunset shot with a bridge.. and sunset shots are only effective with a nice foreground and you achieved that here... I just dont see the relationship between the bridge and photojournalism. If you were deadset on using this particular bridge for whichever reason, I would suggest a different angle.. a little farther to the left would have greatly improved this shot. You miss out on a lot of the architecture of this bridge because it's got a compressed perspective. You would have also gotten better composition moving to the left a bit more because you'd be filling the frame a little bit more and your image would look more evenly spaced. Regardless it's a nice attempt at a bridge/sunset picture! not bad at all! |

Gorgeous! Love the orientation of the bridge to the framing, water and sunset.

nice sunset shot, not sure I like the placement of the bridge leading to the center of the photo and can't picture this on the cover of my newspaper, good photo though. |

Beautiful sunset. Hope this is for a photography magazine. That's about the only way I can see it fitting the challenge. If that's the case it is a good job. PTL8 It's a great photo no matter what and it deservice a 9. |

I really like this photo. I think the colour is great, and the angle and just everything... but I can't see the photojournalist shot.... |

I like the photo. I think you could use the title to improve the "newsworthiness" for most people by inventing a story like "Last Days for Old Bridge" |

A sunset makes any pic look so much more beautiful |

I like the soft orange glow of orange cast by the remaining sunlight. I could see this on the front page of a newspaper that has colored pictures! good job! |

Sunsets happen every day. Newsworthy? See 3A for details :) - Inspzil |

I really like how the sun is seen through the arch... a great angle... I suppose it does meets the challenge in some way... but there's no "impact of the moment" for me... (7) ~anachronite |

This is a terrific photograph and should place very high in the voting. Whether it fits my definition of journalism is an open question. As a magazine photo it is very good indeed. Front page of a newspaper - no. 6 JEM |

Too much jpeg artifacts around the edges of the objects, save it at a higher quality. This pic is 42kb where 150 is allowed. The artifacts are very disturbing and it ruins the fluent transition of colors. I wonder what it would look like if it was shot from a position somewhat more to the left. |
