I gave you a 7 ... loved the set up and toning, figured you had either cloned out a step ladder or had the subject jump off a platform out of the frame. The inability to see his face or any expression that would have furthered the story you're telling here is what stopped it from going higher (along with the fact that there were a ton of great images in this challenge, and I always tend, subconciously at least, to grade on a curve). |

Hmm, I agree with too much turf showing below. It looks like a landscape shot with the child/balloons as almost an afterthought. A lower pof would have added a sense of dynamism.
ETA: if it's his birthday...well, could have a picnic table set up with a cake/party settings, extra kids etc. Just a thought.

I gave it an 8, but i didn't spend much time wondering how it was done. Figured you might have an invisible ladder. I think your distant crop hurt the most. Or all of the extra turf! |

Fun shot. For me, it would have worked better had there been more sky for him to leap into and less horizontal land area. He just seemed to be poorly composed in the frame, I guess that is what came through during voting. |

HA - cute idea. I might have Chet a bit further toward the left, but that's just a nit. |
