I actually like the way the "noise" in the pic, adds to the photo. Nice job.

good mood w/ lighting

crop in tighter, focus, and straighten. maybe wait for the blob to just about separate from the bottom piece?

I love the blue and the green though the slight rotation takes away from it

As far as stopped-motion, these things move pretty slow. A quicker subject might've been better.
04/21/2002 07:21:00 AM
great colors
04/21/2002 02:02:00 AM
image is too dark, out of focus.
04/20/2002 12:39:00 PM
i like it, although its too dark at the bottom

Hey looks like my son's room. Now if you had the disco light I would say it was his room. Cute twist on stopped motion.

To plain

the biggest problem I have with lav lamps is the glass always looks gross. :) you just can not get it clean!
04/19/2002 01:43:00 AM
would've been nicer if cropped it, don't u think?
04/18/2002 11:25:00 AM
closer...
04/18/2002 02:09:00 AM
Closer up and in focus, thats what this needs.
04/17/2002 11:27:00 PM
blurry
04/17/2002 04:17:00 PM
The bottom third of the photo is a bit redundant...
04/17/2002 02:55:00 PM
Good use of color. Something in the lower left is distracting.

i love lava lamps. although the idea of 'stopped motion' seems a little wasted on such. you kind of set your self up here because you had to take the pic in the dark, with a slow shutter. so your lava is blurred and not really stopped, even tho it was moving slow int he first place!
04/17/2002 09:06:00 AM
nice colours, but the bottom is just too dark for me
04/16/2002 01:59:00 PM
this would be a lot better if it were cropped tighter and not off kilter
04/16/2002 01:27:00 PM
nice lighting given out by this subject.
04/16/2002 11:55:00 AM
bad
04/16/2002 10:24:00 AM
Off-center -- could be fixed with cropping or better shot framing.
04/15/2002 09:35:00 PM
This might of been better with the wax hotter, and more bubbles.
04/15/2002 10:56:00 AM
This is a cool photograph but I'm not impressed with it's application to the "stopped motion" challenge. In my humble opinion, motion cannot be stopped with a long exposure and no flash. The photo is also slanted downward to the right. Leveling the subject would have improved the photo.
04/15/2002 10:00:00 AM
Good. Next time try to catch the horizontal.
04/15/2002 09:18:00 AM
Interesting colors in this.
04/15/2002 08:34:00 AM
Great capture ! The color and light are just so cool. My only change would be to crop off the bottom just a bit more. NICE !

I'd have moved in a lot closer, and just got the lamp rather than the whole stand. Meets the challenge but isn't very dynamic/ exciting.
