382/385. A fine lesson in humility, and in carefully considering the quality of a submission, before submitting.

The sky is a bit blown out and some fill flash might have helped to light the girl/grass... If this was not a candid, try this again at a different angle to the sun.

I like the way the kite is highlighted and framed, but I would like to have seen a little more light on the woman's face.

I think in this case, fill flash would work well. The woman is underexposed leaving the sky correctly exposed (though washed out). Putting some light on your subject would better convey your message. If fill flash wasn't possible, I would overexpose the shot (compared to this exposure). Losing the detail in the sky wouldn't detract, as there isn't much sky detail or color to begin with.

This really cries out for a fill flash. A 4.

I think some light reflected on the lady's face would have improved this photo...

I'm sure you've already received comments that this shot is too dark. Looks like you took this during full sun and that's hard, the camera doesn't have the capability to capture light/dark contrasts in as wide a range as our eyes. A different time of day, or fill-flash may be the answer. Apart from that, a couple of things that may further improve your photo (in my opinion at least) would be to clone or crop that little bit of a branch (?) out that is poking in the frame at the top left corner. Cropping a bit more off the right side could improve composition (have the person off-center, in this case, her being center doesn't add to the image I think) and it would get rid of another set of distracting branches.

Direct sunlight is just plain hard, you really needed fill-flash there. Or go with the silhouette look, but this just looks too contrasty with the white sky and under-exposed model.

I like this shot, but with a little fill flash more detail could have been brought out in the face.

The model is to dark, you could have tried to use a fillflash or to do some shadow highlight in photoshop

Nice compostion, I love the grass in front. I only wish there was more light on the subject's face or less to make it more of a silouhette. As it is, it's right in between. Just my opinion though. :)

Fill flash would have improved it in my opinion. Also try cropping a bit closer, the branch on the right is distracting.
