this would have been realistic if there is a crowd around the body. |

Looks too staged to be an actual scene. Nice looking actor and nice looking photo, though. Just can't see this going any where in journalism, unless to advertise a play in a local theater. I wouldn't be drawn to read anything from this photo, and I think that's the actual challenge, as I understand it. I will give a 5 for a technically good photo. PTL |

He really ought to be careful with that catchup. It could burn his eye. Vote 6 Sonifo |

If this is a set up shot, I think the ambience would be helped by having several smaller light sources (like flashlights) to give a blotchier look. It seems between too well-lit for a news photo but not well enough lit for coroner's/evidentiary photos. High marks for topicality and overall composition. |

Who put the katchup on his face?? Next time take the shirt off run it over with the car then put the shirt back on. tire prints on a shirt are very dramatic. |

cool effects. blood still looks a little fake tho. |

this photo has a good 'journalistic' quality for sure... I think a little higher angle with a little more light on the bloody face would be good too :) - Please help us enhance this site that we all enjoy by commenting on photos each week. The photographers really appreciate it :) - setzler |

Hmm is that tomato sauce on his face? |

Nice effort, but you need to work on your fake blood. More light on the tire would 'teel your story' better. It took me a few seconds to figure out what the silver thing was, then I realized it was a wheel and tire. Otherwise, technical aspect is good... Great DOF nice lighting on the 'body' good focus. Since this is a set up/created shot, it's a stretch for me to consider it photojournalism. I don't blame you, though, tough subject this week! |

Great idea for the shot... Is that ketchup? The blood itself looks pretty fake. I think some "real" fake blood (like they sell with Dracula costumes around Halloween?) would have worked really well... and maybe having some splattered on the shirt and stuff.... - 7 - JB |

Creative idea, may have done better with a better road and dirtier or torn clothing though. DPz |

it's difficult to tell what the thing is in the center top of the photo, the end of a car door? Whatever it is, since it is hard to tell what it is, it is distracting. |

A little too set up, I'm afraid... plus, even if such a picture would exist, it wouldn't be "journalistic" so much as "evidence" since no one would ever print such a thing (unless, of course O.J. Simpson had been seen in the area beforehand... :) |

Omigosh! I hope this was staged. If it was that's just fine with me. Composition is good, and technically all is fine. Also meets the challenge. Best of luck in the challenge. Please remember to keep an open mind when voting. Grayce aka Gracious |

yup I like warped sense of humour...I would have given it more points for scruffed up threads and different facial expression. keep up with the unusual and farout ideas...7 bullwinkle |

Composition: Subject Placement, Cropping, Background6, Technical: Focus, Exposure, Lighting, Processing7, Appeal: Is it Interesting, Motivating, Etc.? 5, Total Averaged Rating6. Autool IMO the relationship between the title and picture are key elements in this challenge. I don't think your title would lead me to want to know more, and your picture needs another factor to help tie it all together.

Looks like you got drunk, got burgers, forgot napkins, tried to eat while driving drunk on a bumpy road, realized your peril, pulled over, got out, passed out, and this picture is when you woke up, and you're staring at the underneath of your car trying to figure out where you are, but afraid to move. ...Score might be higher if that actually looked like a road, and that ketchup on your face actually looked like blood. -7 |

Good idea, but you just can't fake a photojournalism picture... the idea was to go out and catch action not create fake action. sorry, but I can't give this a very high score. |

ouch... it looks completely contrived |
