 a pretty lucky grab, considering i got stuck on the wrong side of the garage entrance after the race and had to wait for every single other car to exit pit road before being able to cross to a better vantage point. lucky i didn't get run over...

Oh, BTW ;-)

the title is a reference to the character Maximus in my all-time favorite movie Gladiator. i've always thought of racing as the latest evolution of the roman chariot races.

the race itself was the most boring one i've ever been to, featuring the longest green flag run in about 30 years.

well, boring until the last 10 laps, when kyle busch roared from being 6 back to taking the checkered flag. he's one of those drivers everyone loves to hate, but man-oh-man, he can drive and he can win.

even though i would have liked to have been in a better position, i'm still pretty psyched with how this turned out...and the 12x24 is going to look pretty cool on the wall.

Checkered flag for sure! I really like the image. I just find, something not rite about the car though. Something to do with the tones and colour. Almost gives it a model look.
