Greetings from Critique Club

First impression: Looking at the nose of this animal, I thought this was a type of pony from some very cold region till I read the title.

I like the sepia mood, lighting and the vignetting around the subject as a border.

The photo as such had potential to score a little better score than what you already got. If only you had bent slightly over or were on your knees for this, it would have helped. Photos of animals when taken while standing unless until it is fully grown horse, hippo, zebra or giraffe, it would always appear smaller than it actually is. Trick is to take photo from a point below its eye level or atmost the same height as its eye level.

Pose of the animal is also not very interesting to me. It do not even convey that it is walking especially when the legs are firmly together.

Regards
Midhun

I like the processing and the vignetting in this shot which I find quite touching.
