Truly photojournalistic since it clearly tells a story. YOur choice to go black and white works fine, but the focus is soft. I'm guessing you may have taken this from a car window.
I think a different perspective could have had more of an impact. Perhaps closer to your subject, with the Mobil sign in the bg, and the traffic not taking up 1/3 of the image. It isn't necessary to the picture and is distraction.
You picked an excellent subject that is newsworthy.

was a filter or effect used here?

Good point of view and composition. It appears over processed though. DPz

Good concept . I'd like to see a sharper image.

Good catch. Bang on topic. Looks like a photo journalist in the making.

right on subject!though it could have been a bit better quality

Protest in color to grab attention. Needs focus badly. News worthy and fits challenge well. Good idea but poor execution. PTL5

Looks like it was taken from a security video camera

this holiday season, you hope santa brings you more megapixels. the rectangles framed right, but it looks a little digital zoomed. i wish i saw more greenpeacers outside, although where i am this time of year it's a little chillier than this.

Good PJ, and good job of making the guy unrecognizable. I suspect this was taken with a lower end cam, just because of the way the pixels look. I hate to be cruel, but I have to be fair, because I am voting largely on quality this week. I'm seeing good photographer skill, but you either have a low end camera or your technique needs a little encouragement. 4 nards656

That's right, they are evil, DOWN WITH MOBIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great capture, and the black and white works well for me. What hurts the picture is the lack of focus. If it were sharper, I think it would be more effective. karmat

Good deal. Just wish it was in better focus. That would bring it up two points.

Overexposed on the left, and center of attention on the left is a little blurred to me.

interesting photo... something seems a bit strange about the esxposure here... I also think the contrast is a bit high... - setzler

Would have preferred this cropped a bit more to the right.

This could have been a wonderful journalistic shot. Somehow, it suffered from high contrasts and maybe over-sharpening effects. But you have a good eye in capturing the moment.

Too blur.

Good idea but out of focus

This photo has some very strange effects on it, planned or not. It is not terribly well focused, and looks way overprocessed. It is a better photo op than anything I had but I don't think this op was taken advantage of as well as it could be. I do like the framing. The rest of it though needs some help IMO - Inspzil

Excellent subject for photojournalism... but something is off with the picture... not sure what it is. Good try!
