 okay..yeah..I was trying to do a reverse HDR....I didn't feel like being all bright and cheery...most of best work comes when I'm upset.
Barely any editing, fixed color where it was uneven....mostly levels, sharpened.

The blotches in the upper right hand corner came from the reflection of a tree nearby.

Sorry, I really can't see any HDR processing here. It's way too dark and the shadows are blocked up. It does have visual interest for me but I see this more as digital art than a photo. Wish I could have given you higher.

Interesting entry. The grainy banding in the background would normally be a fatal flaw, but you've used it in such a way as it becomes an attractive feature of this shot. One of my highest votes in this challenge so far and a fave.

DNMC 1... just kidding. I do wonder if this is hdr just because it is so different but you do seem to have a nice range in this so I will say yes it is a new and interesting take on hdr. Besides that this is brilliant. I really love it and could see myself having a canvas print of this hanging on my wall. Beautiful work, 10
