I think this looks amazing. Very artistic. |

I really like it; I think it is very well executed, and it works. I do agree that it is not a "mass appeal" shot, however. I also agree with previous commenters regarding the strength of the vignette, and the slight distraction of the bright "comet" at upper left. |

I really like the pose, the composition and the flare - but what is the streaking comet coming in from the upper left corner? Now that I've seen it, my eye can't stop looking at it! But that's just me being nit-picky...I love the image. |

I thinks it's awesome. I love me some sun flare. If I had one critique, it would be that much as I love the flare, I prefer it without the bottom arc...like if you were to crop under her elbow. (I don't mean REALLY crop it there as that would be silly...) I like the first bit of flare, just not the second more defined arc on the bottom. Know what I mean? I LOVE the pose.
Truly, I don't think this is all too stylized for clients nowadays. At least not in the USA. If you look at wedding photogs now, they are trying to add this look on purpose with actions (which I despise). Everything's got a crazy green/yellow-y hue. I much prefer the natural way :-)
Well done! |

Although I understand the precision that went into the shot and how well it is executed, as a photographer I think it is great and would be proud of it - as a consumer I would not want it for my album.

I think it's excellent. Nothing looks accidental; you had a clear vision for this photograph and you executed it with craft and precision. That said, understand that this isn't going to have mass appeal. It's different and highly stylized. Anyone who's going to nitpick about color or exposure, for instance, is completely missing the point.
Bottom line: If the couple in the picture likes it, it's a success. |
