When I first saw this guy, I thought he had to be a member of Buprestidae, but I'm actually thinking he's a Hoshihananomia octopunctata. Can't see the abdomen in your photo, so you tell me what you think. ID link
I really enjoy the lighting. Like a really mellow spotlight for him. |

This is a very beautiful photo, Mary. I love the soft colours and that sweet little beetle is lovely. It looks kind of shy. |
