 Bother that there was a b! Exmoor is a huge hill farming area with sheep round every corner (and loose on most roads) so had the subject been ovine I would have had a huge choice of subjects. What with the hot weather at the weekend most of the local cows seemed to have hot footed it into the shade and I could hardly find any until I suddenly came across this grumpy madam grazing on bracken by the roadside.

Shot in RAW and converted using ACR. Used adjustment brush to lighten exposure on black cow. Levels, curves; selective colour to enhance the sky a touch and an additional layer to work a bit more contrast into the sky. Used Topaz Adjust to enhance clarity, resized and saved for web.

Love the setting and odd perspective, but the cow is a bit flat, lightingwise
