Julie owns a little burlesque and 50s style clothing boutique in Cardiff which i've passed on numerous occasions. I do wish i'd spent a bit more time on the shot when shooting. I'd have liked a wider aperture-not sure why i shot at f4- as i'd have liked it sharper. This was one of two that i was considering entering and in the end i prefered this. I like the juxtaposition of Julie and the cardboard cut-out.

LOL about the cutting out the cut-out. As Brian says, definitely not. Wonderful, warm, very engaging. Excellent work!

Now how cool is this?! Very effective. I feel like we're seeing a younger Julie in the glass there.

Wow, what a statement. The inclusion of the pin-up girl is very interesting. I really hope you have some notes on this image in the "Photographer's Comments" section! Great shot!

Comment only from a non-voting, non-member: Well... I can only imagine the stories Julie has to tell. This photo asks more questions than it answers - I think that's a good thing.

Very captivating character study. I love the interesting juxtaposition and the toning. Not a fan of the excessive glow in the hair though. 8

Even with the technical flaw (hair blown out) I love it! That sticker is probably a spittin image of Julie in her younger years.

Makes me curious to know who she is and what her story may be. Looks like she could have been the pinup girl on the glass 40 or 50 years ago.
