Congratulations. Great portrait - I particularly like how his hat is echoed in the vague building shapes in the background. |

Congrats on the red! Your subject is unique and compelling. Rule of thirds rules on this one, and I really love your background off to the right. It totally compliments the model. Great to see you back on the front page. |

Love the hat and giant sweater, they just offset the individuality of this person. Good work and congrats! |

Congratulation on your red - he has the most interesting expression on his face and I really like the sepia treatment of this shot. |

Great portrait. Interesting how some thought the background was a distraction and others thought the background was as much a part of the image. Nice job. Congrats on the Red. |

The energy of the background is really good and complements his busy hat and sweater quite nicely. |

Great expression, tones, focus and background. For me, the interplay of the hat and the ship mast in background is the cherry on top of the cake. (not voting) |

What a wonderful character! I also love the quality of the bokeh. The background leaves just a hint of the environment, and I think it is the perfect amount of a hint. Very well balanced contrast as well! |

I would have liked this more if the background weren't in such competition with the subject. My eye is drawn there to try to figure out what I'm looking at, and away from the otherwise wonderful main subject. |

This is raw. I love it. I love the expression. I love the reality. My only comment is that i think you pushed him to the left a little too much. The background is blurred to the point that i don't nkow what i'm looking at. I think its boats? Excellent portrait nonetheless. 7. |

Lots of character in this subject. I can make out the mast of the boat in the background, but I think just a bit more DOF to give context to the subject would have made this a stronger street portrait. Just MHO. |
