*Composition (content)*
The composition of this shot really works. The contrast of the white clothes line against the fabulous blue is perfect. Even the clothes pins orientation work, they move the eye from left to right and add interest to the top of the shot. The quilts location and angle is good as the right side of the quilt lines up almost perfect with the edge of the picture.
*Background*
Not much there :-) The color of the sky and its gradient from dark to light is very nice. The sky is clean and free of noise.
*Camera Work (Technical)*
The only slight drawback I see technically is that you may have let just a little to much light in. The white on the quilt in a few areas seems just a tad too white.
*Digital Processing (technical)*
Sharpening is OK (slight trace of over sharpening at the bottom of the quilt).
Balance between light and dark is excellent.
Compression is good (no jpeg artifacts)
*My opinion*
I liked this picture during voting and still like it. It tells a story and meets the challenge real well. Keep up the good work!

| Nice quilt. Looks hand made. Beautiful. Photo really nice. Beautiful colors. Nice composition and nice execution. Like how it's cropped. Good focus and this is something hard to focus evenly, just by it's combinations. Good job. PTL 8 |

| The blue background is perfect. I can't tell if it's the sky with a polarizing filter or an artificial background, but it is good. |

| I love the color of the sky and the gradation (is that a word) in it. The lighting on the quilt seems a bit harsh - which is common in outdoor shots. Was it afternoon? The white is just a little too bright maybe. I like the idea. I thought of something similar using little children's clothes, but it's just TOO cold outside. Not sure about the angle. Seems maybe a little too slanted tho I wouldn't shoot it straight on of course. Overall, it fits the challenge and is well done technically. Nothing jumps out as being bad. The subject is just a bit too unemotional maybe when you have to look at SOoooooo many pictures. I'm sure it doesn't get enough attention from the average voter. I love quilts :o) ~indi |

| so that's what the amish use their phone lines for. the off center diagonal composition works very well, and the dark blue and white of the quilt contrasted with the lighter blue of the sky is really pretty. good show. 8 |

| Simple, and beautiful, with good colors, lines and does a good job of evoking blue. I love it! Really beautiful job on photographing a simple object and making it look beautiful! Did you make the quilt? Very nice... a 9! |
