The entry I am remaking with this:


Anticipated critiques:
-Don't care for the tonemapping
-Too busy
-Scene in the reflection is too dark

Post-challenge notes:
Not my strongest entry, but it pulled up in the last several days and came in within my happy zone and slightly above my site average. Also did way better than the shot that it emulated. I had anticipated only 5.7-ish for this one, so I really wasn't far off.

Somehow I misinterpreted the challenge description that read "refer to the original in your title". I read this as "Use the same title as the original", which meant nobody was able to match my entry to the original. I probably lost some positive votes to that error.

There are more than 12 pages of pictures with the word Reflections in the title and more than a few with just that one word. This is well done but I won't vote unless I can figure out the original. Okay got it now.
Better than the original (inspired by dlyons) but I would think it almost has to be, since it was such a small size and everything.
On it's own this photo is interesting - almost flat looking, although I know it's not. I like the colors but the lack of contrast (in the shadows particularly) is bothering me a bit. Good job in general though.

Oh yeah, big improvement over the original. The reflection is good. The subject itself does not move me too much so I am giving this a 6.
