Thanks for the votes and all the nice comments, really encouraging, I often look at this site, but have rarely contributed. I will be back.
I had bought the lovely coloured small potatoes before the competition, with the thought of photographing them and trying them. They are old Inca Potatoes. I wasn't impressed by the taste, very earthy. The big purple ones I had had for a few weeks, O.K. to eat, but the purple is a bit off putting, they do stay purple even after you have cooked them. |

are those red ones potatoes too?? wow. The violet color seems too vibrant. Maybe quite fitting for the shot. Not sure though. |
