 So glad this did well, my hands were actually trembling while I was trying to get a good photo of the fly, I was a nervous wreck.
I’ve always admired the many excellent insect photographers on this site but my admiration has risen about 3 million percent after “seriously” trying it out myself.

did you shoot with a warm gel on your flash, or did you tweak that white balance in post?

Yes it is lovely but I am one of you admirars,

But I love the oil and water and water dropss.

I love the tones in this one - worth framing and hanging, if it wouldn't scare the company away. Great shot, and congrats on the ribbon!

Irene - I was one of your 30 8s. I didn't figure this was yours; the sepia palette seems uncharacteristic for you, and it's the unusual treatment of a very popular subject that caught my eye. Congratulations on your ribbon!
