Hi Gordon, I really like your shot, one of my four 10s this week too. IMHO a little more DOF would be suitable and I would like to see the light-reflection in the center of both eyes. Doing so makes the shot a bit more lifely. Nevertheless congrats on a great shot!

Yikes! I had four 10s and not one of them made the top 50 this week! Is it me?

Great use of selective focus! I think it's a nice idea and very funny because it reminds me how I sometimes walk through the world testing how a certain scene would look through the viewfinder ;-) -stephan

I like this a lot--slightly mysterious and quite witty good job

Really cute idea. I just don't like the colorization of the shot. The hands are out of focus and there is a part of the sleeve in the left hand lower corner.. The only thing in focus is the "Landscape portrait, but the other things are too distracting. PTL 4

I really like this. Very unique :) Shiiizzzam

I like the idea and the use of the hands to frame the eyes. The top hand though is a little too blurry for me. It's hard to even tell it's a hand, so I think a slightly larger depth of field would have helped.

Good shot. Good Composition. Light is a little harsh on the eye. YOu get a seven.

I'm back to your shot to add a little comment. I really like this and gave it an 8 and at second looks still believe I'm on target. The soft blue tint here is so nice to my eye.
I also like the foreground out of focus. This is not popular with a lot of the voters here.......to me it's awesome. These are pretty eyes, interesting shot, clear, clean, in focus and on topic!! Good work. Justine

neat composition. Nice undertones of blue

the subtle blue works well with the white. the eyes are at just the right height in the shot. pretty good shot. 6

Sorry, but I just don't like your "frame". The blue aspect is (IMO) on the weaker side (barely blue?). The shoulder is distracting. 6 Swash

i wish it had a BIT more contrast, but its still great. i like the fact the hands are blury.....

I think this is a cool shot that probably is gonna suffer from the "this doesn't make me think blue" problem. Sorry about that. Good use of dof. ~indi

Excellent use of dof. Very evocative.

One of my favorits! Like how the focus is set and the not too strong blue of the whole image. From me a 9

Interesting perspective but not reminiscent of blue per se.

Just his shoulder on the left bottom distracts the eyes. good shot tho
