I can see where you are coming from as far as freedom goes....however it is very loosely shown here and I am sure that is the reason many don't see the freedom.
Since the man is your main subject here it would have been nice to have had his face a little less shadowy. Also moving him out of the center and allowing a little more "negative space" would have created some free space to it. |

Nice hippie type shot- I love the background. Maybe at sunrise or sunset there would be a better "warmth" and less snapshotty feel. |

What a strange man... needs a reflector to get light onto his face? |

And this represents freedom how? I guess freedom of expression. Maybe try this at a different time of day when the light is not so harsh. Also, try different angles so you can find the one that really flies. I like the background, but can't tell if he's on a cliff. Obviously, with some work, there is some potential here, but, unfortunately, for me, for this challenge, I can't score it any higher. |

Free to be weird? Nice scene and great background. Noon-day lighting did not really help you. |

There has got to be a good story behind this one. As an image it isn't very interesting - nonday sun is the most difficult light to shoot in - makes everything look washed out. Dead center is the most difficult composition of do effectively, must have a visually strong subject because you don;t have ans much room for leading lines, negative space, balance or contrast. |

This apears a bit too contrasty. His distorted shadow doesn't really add much to the composition which suggests a different POV would have worked better. Despite the bright color and flowy costume, I'm finding this a rather dull composition. |

Yes, he definitely seems like a free spirit. :-) The color and clarity in this shot are really nice. I'd be tempted to crop in a bit tighter on him to give more focus to your main subject. Also, a lower angle might show more light on his face. Still, a good, fun shot. |
