 Actually I was taking pictures of a flock of pidgeons amongst the bails of hay when this fox appeared. He was as surprised as I. I had taken several pictures of the pidgeons but ultimately felt this picture was more unique. I preferred it in B&W. It seemed to give it a more rustic appearance. The picture was cropped, sharpened, desaturated, Neat Image, and slightly increased the contrast.

The hay and the scene would have been enough for a lovely photo, but the fox really makes it wonderful. I like the mistiness of the backgound and the sharpness of the foreground.

What a calm bucolic scene... Doesn't convey freedom incredibly strongly but I can certainly see how it fits the challenge. I like the choice of black and white and the composition you have cropped to. 7

Looks like the guy who's taking my chickens! Wonderful image of the hay bales and the fox ix an added bonus. The scene is serene and balalncec, background soft, bales sharp, thirds and all that - then the sneaky little fox looks even oversharpened - he adds a surprise punch - great.
